Just Bits & Peices

Another morning and I’m contemplating about getting out of bed or not
Will I have a bad hair day? Will the sun shine ruthlessly making the day hot?
A few seconds I’ve been awake, Lord there’s so many things to think about
How I wish, one day I will wake up and learn to smile at everything that I got.

In world of barriers that we seem to tie ourselves to
Complicating our lives with situations that aren’t really true
We want to believe in what we see, in the mirrors of society
And sort of panic when we can’t seem to find ourselves in what we see
So we mould our beautiful self to fit into a canvas that really isn’t our own
We ape strangers, to be a new person, depending on what they have shown

Brother, brother. Don’t you know that you are a man?
Stand up for your Morales. Your father’s teachings you have to understand
You are the angel, you are the smile that glorifies the sun light
And you are the warrior that protects the rest under the moon light

Take a walk; take a moment to smile at those around you
Lend a hand; give laughter to those who want to laugh with you.
You will always be your mother’s passion, your father’s purity
You will be the glue that keeps the love flowing between you and me

Lord, How I wish we all could be the children from your soul
And avoid the shortcuts of life, being pure until we get old
How I wish, man would realize that he really is not busy
To come back home from a day’s work, and play with his family

How I wish the men is power didn’t fool us and get raped by greed
Have we forgotten that the system is merely a tree from our very own seed?
How I wish women could walk safely, without lust fucking-up a pervert’s mind
Why does a human harm another? Why do we stamp on beauty that we find?

Note: This is really just bits and peices that are flowing in my head right now. I ahve these thoughts, perhaps not connected to each other, but they are thoughts that I spend time on. I wish that we freed ourselves from unwanted pressures, I wish we respected other, specially women, I wish we laughed more and more like we did when we were kids. Then I realized 'Lord, these bits and peices, these little thought' if only we followed them, the world would be a better place. My dearest brothers and sisters, there are my thoughts. Listen to yours now. They might be similar to mine or they might be totally different, but whatever they are - listen to them and hopefully your world will start to be a little better than it was.
