The theme of Legacy

Smiles coming in thru my window, it’s as if the skies are waiting for me
I’ve danced my life on this earth, feels like the ground has had enough of me
Heaven smiles waiting for me to tell her my side of the story, about my legacy
But my lover won’t let go of me, she’s still holding on, very much in love with me

I’ve seen my child grow, and man! She has grown so gorgeous,
She taps her feet amazingly but confined to herself and that makes me furious,
Coz I want the world to see how gracefully she moves, infact just like me,
She’s beautiful like her mother, smooth like me. She’s holding on to a legacy

I know for sure that when her feet start to move,
they move to a fusion sound of the wind, streams and the trees.
Her soul can see an electrifying audience in the butterflies, birds and bees.
She conveys in a language that’s within the purity of every human being
The very same language, I reckon in which the angel’s sing

There he comes. Lord! he’s going to make my little girl fall in love with him,
I know she’s an adult now, but I can’t seem to find that certain style in him,
But yet her makes her smile, and he understands her every move so deeply
Why do I feel that he has something to do with my very own life and my legacy?

Note: Here we are - the first look. The theme from LEGACY – my new film. With Legacy I am back to writing, the story, screenplay dialogues and even the lyrics for the songs in the film. LEGACY is about society, a father–daughter bond and with dance as the back-drop. It is NOT a film about dancers, it’s not a film about people who study dance or are devoted to it. It’s a story of small family who have a lot of love in them, it’s about the society they live in, it’s about how much they mean to each other. It’s about their ways of life, their views, their beliefs and their legacies are passed on from generation to generation. Many a times, we kill the beautiful qualities that we inherit from our parents / grand-parents. These beautiful qualities are a legacy and we must hold on to these. The film is about all of this, a family like any other, that has these beautiful qualities and holds on to these legacies, and believe it or not – to even the way they love to dance. It’s all in the blood, we sometimes forget to hold on to the good ones. So wake, be aware and hold on to even the smallest of legacies that are a part of your world. Just Bits & Peices

Another morning and I’m contemplating about getting out of bed or not
Will I have a bad hair day? Will the sun shine ruthlessly making the day hot?
A few seconds I’ve been awake, Lord there’s so many things to think about
How I wish, one day I will wake up and learn to smile at everything that I got.

In world of barriers that we seem to tie ourselves to
Complicating our lives with situations that aren’t really true
We want to believe in what we see, in the mirrors of society
And sort of panic when we can’t seem to find ourselves in what we see
So we mould our beautiful self to fit into a canvas that really isn’t our own
We ape strangers, to be a new person, depending on what they have shown

Brother, brother. Don’t you know that you are a man?
Stand up for your Morales. Your father’s teachings you have to understand
You are the angel, you are the smile that glorifies the sun light
And you are the warrior that protects the rest under the moon light

Take a walk; take a moment to smile at those around you
Lend a hand; give laughter to those who want to laugh with you.
You will always be your mother’s passion, your father’s purity
You will be the glue that keeps the love flowing between you and me

Lord, How I wish we all could be the children from your soul
And avoid the shortcuts of life, being pure until we get old
How I wish, man would realize that he really is not busy
To come back home from a day’s work, and play with his family

How I wish the men is power didn’t fool us and get raped by greed
Have we forgotten that the system is merely a tree from our very own seed?
How I wish women could walk safely, without lust fucking-up a pervert’s mind
Why does a human harm another? Why do we stamp on beauty that we find?

Note: This is really just bits and peices that are flowing in my head right now. I ahve these thoughts, perhaps not connected to each other, but they are thoughts that I spend time on. I wish that we freed ourselves from unwanted pressures, I wish we respected other, specially women, I wish we laughed more and more like we did when we were kids. Then I realized 'Lord, these bits and peices, these little thought' if only we followed them, the world would be a better place. My dearest brothers and sisters, there are my thoughts. Listen to yours now. They might be similar to mine or they might be totally different, but whatever they are - listen to them and hopefully your world will start to be a little better than it was. The Miracle

Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, "I'll pray for them later" or "when I have more time"?

Or has anyone ever called you and said, "I really need you to pray for me, I have this need?"

Read the following story that was sent to me and I KNOW it WILL change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way you pray. You will be blessed by this.

A missionary told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan.....

"While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks, I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital.

Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about GOD. I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident.

Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. He said, 'Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.'

At this I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite. The young man pressed the point, said, 'No sir, I was not the only person to see the guards. My five friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.'

At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the Michigan congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story:

On the night of your incident in Africa, it is morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to leave when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?"

The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26.

This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in mysterious ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it.Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world towards the Divine once again.

As the above true story clearly illustrates, "with faith all things are possible" and more importantly, how God hears and answers the prayers of the faithful.

After you read this, please pass it on and give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles he works in your own daily life .

Note: I always post my original work here, coz I love being able to express whats coming out of the soils of my very own soul. However today, I'm putting in here a forward that came into my Inbox, not because I do not have a peice ready to post here, but because I just couldn't stop the milk of humanity flow out of me when I read this. I'm still riding on the waves of Tarishhyasi and when I got this story into my Inbox, I just had to forward it to everyone. Say a prayer my dearest folk as someone is saying a prayer for you too. The biggest thing you can give anyone is a small prayer. Love you all, in my heart and in my prayers - Tagore Almeida -
